My name is Unni Mortensen,
I am 47 years old, and live
together with my dogs.
We live in Fredrikstad close
to the river Glomma, and we have
a wonderful view outwards
the water.

I have always had a great
interest for cats, and have owned both Persian and Forrest cats.
When my last cat died in
December 2001 I thought; no more animals.
But in May 2002 I went to
a dog show with one of my friends, and fell
completely for a tiny Petit
Brabancon bitch.
She was so sweet, I became
fascinated, I just had to have a dog like that.
I picked up my Emmy in Oslo
in July 2004.
It was a true joy to get
to know the little girl.
Griffons is a healthy and
joyful little breed and
they are incredible intelligent
and funny.
With their roguish, monkylike
face they are extremely charming.
They have great temperament
and love humans.
It is a lot of dog in those
tiny griffons.
I have always loved to take
a walk, and now I had a walkingbuddy
who sat in my backpack when
she got tired.
A true little friend
who looked at me with the most beautiful
eyes and who was just kind
and good.
I got so excited and thought
I had to have more.
In summer 2003 we got Arnold
from Sweden.
He felt right at home at
ones, and Emmy adopted him right away.
We have a good time together,
on ring training and on dog shows.
Since then, it has been
a lot of activity and happy hours
in our little yellow house,
where Arnold and Emmy
has had a litter together,
and where we kept a little female.
A proper little monkey who
we call Lilly.
She makes hustle and bustle
wherever she goes, and
she loves the attention
it gives her.
She enjoyes the speed and
excitement, and when she invites
the others to play, they
run around in our livingroom in full speed.
But in the evening when
we walk to our bedroom it is quiet.
It is strange how my life
has changed.
I can confide to you that
once up on a time I was terrified for dogs, and I
thought dog shows was just
nonsense.
But now when I have learned
to know this little breed, I want many more of them.
On dog shows we enjoyes
ourself, and we meet a lot of
nice people.
So, this is just the beginning
of a pleasant doglife.
Arnold, Emmy and Lilly.
